Discover the anchovies of l’Escala and the Dalí Theatre-Museum

Starting and finishing the route in l’Escala, you will start by exploring a Factory of authentic anchovies of l’Escala. The anchovy industry in l’Escala has a long historical tradition, which has made known the “anchoa de l’Escala” seal in the international area.
The Greeks and Romans already made salted preserves in Empúries, as the excavations made up to now have shown.
This visit to the Factory of anchovies will give you the opportunity to know how the anchovies of l’Escala are currently made, observing all the stages of the artisanal and traditional process of salting. It will end with a tasting of anchovies. After a stop for lunch you will visit the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres accompanied by our guide who will tell you curiosities about the artist and how his life developed.
